Voyageurs Cup

FC Edmonton and the rest of the newly formed Canadian Premier League are going to participate in this years race for the Voyageurs Cup and a berth in the CONCACAF Champions league.

The Eddies get a bye past the first round and will face off against the winner of the York 9 vs AS Blainville in round two of the tournament. FC Edmonton will host the second leg of the match up on June 12.

As of right now the newly formed CPL has not released it’s full season schedule so we are still waiting to see when we can get our first glimpse of the new Eddies, for now we know for sure we can go watch the team on June 12.

CPL is a new league but it seems to be structured well and it would be fantastic for Canada to get their own official league to develop and grow players to make the country more threatening on the world stage in the coming years. The only way this league will be viable is if fans go out and support their teams. So with a firm date of June 12 in hand. Clear your schedule and make your way out to support FC Edmonton and build a great soccer community within this city.
